Remisier Development Programme Launch @ SGX Centre on 30th Sep 2024
The Society of Remisiers (Singapore) (SRS) & the Securities Association of Singapore (SAS) successfully launched the Remisier Development Programme on 30th Sep 2024 at SGX Centre.
We had the privilege of having Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture and Youth and Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as MAS Board Member to be our Guest of Honour for the morning launch.
Our President Nalla's vision for the Brokerage Industry and the Remisier Profession as a whole is to move up the value chain and Manage Investment Portfolios and be Trusted Financial Confidants to clients.
For the evening session, we had an overwhelming response from Remisiers. 300 of them attended & were eager to find out more about the 3 specially curated courses for Remisiers as follows :
1. The AI Advantage - A Practical Guide for Brokerages
2. Essentials of Securities Trading - Portfolios, Strategies and Opportunities
3. Personal Branding - Leveraging Digital Marketing for Client Engagement
Many Remisiers have indicated interest to attend these courses. To accomodate as many Remisiers as possible, the courses will run in 2024 and 2025 as well.
Each full day course will cost $800 but if one is a SRS Member, it will be free for most of them due to the IBF Training Grant & SRS,SAS & SGX subsidies.
We had a sumptuous Peranakan Buffet Dinner with Wine and Beer kindly sponsored by SGX.
Remisiers general feedback was that they thoroughly enjoyed the session and were very happy to have these upskilling programmes which will further enhance their value-added services to clients. They're looking forward to attend these courses and play a useful role in this industry and make our Singapore stock market a much more vibrant one.
