SRS Signature Durian Trip to Malaysia on 13th July 2025
SRS Signature Durian Trip has always been an event that members enjoy & look out to every year. When we sent out the registration email for this year, two buses were filled-up within 2 days & many more were on the waiting list. To satisfy our members, we opened-up a third bus & it was duly filled-up within a week.
On Sunday, 13th July 2025, with 3 Bus Loads full, 118 members, their families & friends, gathered at Newton Car Park, & left for Malaysia at 7.30 am sharp.
We went through Tuas 2nd Link & had our breakfast at Galang Patah. Thereafter we proceeded to Aw Pottery Studio which had a 80 year history in making unique potteries.
We then went for the highlight of our trip, what else, Premium Durians at Everyday Durian Plantation @ Yong Peng. We devoured delectable durians such as Mao Shang Wang, Musang King, Black Thorn, Red Prawn & many others. Also, Tropical Fruits were made available such as Mangosteen, Rambutans & Water Melons. For those who wanted to whet their apetites a bit more, there was Fried Bee Hoon, Chicken & Vegetables made available.
After tucking our tummies to the hilt, we went to Ming Ang & Yoyo Native Food Supermarkets to do some shopping of local food products. Thereafter, we proceeded to Aeon Shopping Centre to do what else, more shopping!
We had Dinner at Pekin Restaurant @ Sutera Mall & it was simply delicious. The ambience was great too. To cap the trip, we took a memorable photo at the Stage Ballroom with all the happy faces in tow.
The feedback from our Members, their Families & Friends was that they had a really Fun & Memorable trip & the Executive Committee of The Society of Remisiers (Singapore) are happy to organise more of such events to strengthen the bonds among members & friends.
The next event in our calendar would be SRS Extraordinary General Meeting cum National Day Dinner on 22nd August 2025.
